Materials 5- Izzy's Logic of Light and Color Ep 15
Been struggling with color in your painting?! This is the video for you! Let's apply color theory in actual painting and lighting scenarios! In the fifteenth episode, we approach material rendering with our new understanding of color to see how color plays on light and form! This is the real deal people. Practical color rendering techniques and philosophies to make your painting look better, and more accurate.
This video is a continuation of my Izzy's logic of light and Color Series. Each video builds on the last to solidify your understanding and help make you a better painter!
Applying what we learned from the last episode I show you the logic behind rendering a form with a base color and colored light. Color relationships come into play as we actually render colored forms in a colored space with colored light. Firstly, we will go through the logic step by step, now applying color theory with the rules from the very first episode I posted on Youtube. It's all coming together folks!!! Next we will examine color mixing on the computer versus traditional, and finally I will show you how the logic can be simplified and used to make your illustrations color harmonious stroke for stroke!
This video will cover:
- Practical usage of color theory
- Rules of lighting with color
- Simple approaches to using the color logic we've covered for painterly purposes
This episode builds on concepts covered in Killer Color 1 Ep14, Three Rules for Better painting Ep1, Materials 1-4 Eps 5-8.
